Wild Bee Forest School was founded by Bea Searle, a long time lover of the outdoors. When she had her children she became aware that the education system in the UK was lacking in outdoor, child-led and free play experiences and so she discovered Forest School, which seemed like the perfect antidote. She spent two years volunteering weekly (sometimes twice weekly!) for Forest School sessions run by our friends at Heart of the Wildwood, who nurtured her interest and ensured she had a good base of experience when she took the plunge and did her Level 3 Forest School Leader qualification at Hill End in Oxfordshire. The course was inspirational and opened her eyes to the enormous benefits that Forest School can afford children of all ages. Since then she has delivered Forest School sessions for a large variety of groups and at various different sites, including schools, for children of ages from 0-11 and their adults (who usually enjoy it as much as the kids). She strives to be the very best Forest School practitioner that she can be and is continuously learning, updating and improving her practice in order to enable the children who attend her sessions to benefit as completely as possible.
